This year's plenary speaker is Dr. Jeffrey S. Mogil from McGill University. Dr. Mogil will be giving a seminar entitled "The Nature and Nurture of Pain." Dr. Mogil is recognized as one of the world's leading experts on genetic influences on pain and analgesia. He has published over 115 papers in his short career, and has received numerous awards including the John. C. Liebeskind Early Career Scholar Award from the American Pain Society (1998) and the Patrick D. Wall Young Investigator Award from the International Association for the Study of Pain (2002).
