Washington University Pain Center to host the Midwest Regional Pain Interest Group Meeting
June 8 and 9, 2007

Thank you for making this year's MR PIG a success!  Click here for a pdf copy of the list of posters and talks.

The Midwest Pain Interest Group Meeting is an annual meeting of basic scientists, clinicians, and their trainees that work in the pain field.  This year it is being hosted by the Washington University Pain center at the beautiful Westin St. Louis Hotel , right across the street from the new Busch Stadium.

The meeting takes place over two days.  The first day includes an afternoon poster session and reception incorporating both basic science and clinical research.  The following morning sees two concurrent sessions.  The first will consist of oral presentations by graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and newly appointed junior faculty members.  The second parallel session is a continuing medical education session for clinicians.  Both sessions then come together for a luncheon presentation by our plenary speaker, Dr. Jeffrey Mogil from McGill University.  Dr. Mogil will be giving a seminar entitled "The Nature and Nurture of Pain."

For Friday night, the Pain Center has reserved a party room at Busch Stadium, and a limited number of tickets are available for purchase to attend the St. Louis Cardinals game against the LA Angels. The ticket price ($100) includes admission to the park and a seat in a private box, dinner, soft drinks, and Anheuser Busch products.  These are available on a first-come, first-served basis.  Contact Sarah Buchanan to request tickets for purchase.  She can be reached at 314-362-8376 or email her at buchanans@wustl.edu.
